Caught up in the tight constraints of his community David gets a taste of freedom when he develops a close friendship with his grandfather's neighbours, two elderly closeted men. They open his eyes to the possibilities of love, the realities of loss and the desires of the East Village. A powerful story of rebellion, sexuality, self-discovery and survival.
