| Friday 6th - | Oneg Shabbat Dinner We kick off 2012 activities with a new event – an Oneg Shabbat Dinner for students and young people aged between 18 and 35 years. The event will take place at a member’s house in the City and will include Kiddush, drinks and a home-cooked buffet. We are honoured to have student Rabbi Rene Pfertzel participating in the event. We kindly ask those who would like to attend to make a minimum donation of £7 to cover the expenses of food etc (this includes the £1 “£2012 for 2012 40th anniversary celebrations” donation). | Tuesday 17th - | An Evening with Cath Hall in Friern Barnet - 8pm JGLG is delighted to welcome back author Catherine Hall who will be reading from her successful second novel The Proof Of Love, set in the Lake District in the hot summer of 1976. A novel that will appeal to both men and women, The Proof Of Love has been nominated for the London Book Award and won the Green Carnation Prize for LGBT Literature. CHAVURA NOTICE
We now have to pay the venue of our Chavura and unfortunately now need to request that those attending make a donation of £4 per person to cover this cost. Costs have in the past been met at a financial loss from Group funds, but that is no longer possible. This is a situation that is beyond our control and we ask for your understanding and co-operation. Also, please remember that this donation is for the venue only and does not cover food etc. We do still need each person to bring vegetarian food and something liquid to share with others. Thank you for your understanding.
